Chaillé les Marais is located on one of the original islands extending along the gulf of Pictons, which spawned the Marais Poitevin marshes.

Perched high up on the cliff walls, Côté Marais is a bourgeois residence built in the heart of the village in the first half of the19th century.

Its one-hectare grounds slope gently down towards the protected wet marshes, offering a unique view.

In 2003, we fell in love with the property and decided to live there. We spent the next two years restoring it.

Thanks to Virginie’s passion for flowers and gardening, the gardens have been restored to their original atmosphere.

A swimming pool tucked away within what was once the kitchen garden was the next step, followed by a complete restoration of the outbuildings so we could achieve our final objective, i.e.::
